OUR STORY

"Starting From 30 Pairs..."

Rubio Ranchwear began in 2021 as a father-and-son hustle with just 30 pairs of boots and a small SUV. Every weekend, we would load up what we had and head out to swap meets. The space was tight, and we didn’t always have every size or style — but we showed up anyway, because we believed in what we were building.

As the demand grew, we started renting U-Hauls to carry more boots and give our customers better options. It wasn’t glamorous — just two guys trying to make it work — but it was honest, and the support from our community kept us moving forward.

By 2022, we made a big leap. We partnered with a trusted vendor from León, Guanajuato — known worldwide for top-tier leather goods — and brought in our first batch of authentic horse tack: saddles, headstalls, saddle blankets, bits, and more. That was the moment we became more than just a boot stand — we became a western goods supplier.

In 2023, we bought our first box truck — a 16-footer that finally freed us from renting. It felt like we were gaining momentum. But in 2024, things slowed down. The cost of events and insurance started to pile up, so we scaled back and began selling directly from home. We kept serving our customers, even with limited hours and resources, staying true to what we started.

Then 2025 brought a new chapter. We landed a storefront in a prime spot — right off the 180 Freeway in Fresno, visible to thousands every day. It was the opportunity we’d been working toward for years. Today, we’re proud to have a space where people can walk in, see everything we offer, and feel the story behind every product.
